the world we live in

Why do you think it is we understand so much about what we want and not enough about what we NEED? It's not like we cannot learn nor that we have not learned what it is that we need, and how to obtain it? We KNOW. We know so much but we prioritize things according to what WE WANT. When you are a child is when it would have been good to have that ideal down pact. Unfortunately we throw our lists at people asking them to give US what we WANT. I am quite sure they wouldnt be in your life if they werent handling your needs (for the most part).

I worked on a few ideas for a poem I thought all BOTH of my blog followers might want to wrap their mind around:

Incredible is the world we live in

When we hurt each other even if it hurts our children

Amazing is the world we live in

When we take from each other even though we are not deserving

Proud is the world we live in

Where countries are lead by those who are not accountable to their citizens

Ignorant is the world we live in

Filled with rage, depression, constant illness and out-dated racism

Devastating is the world we live in

Where father stop being accountable to their children

Disappointing is the world we live in

Where women stopped prioritizing nurturing their children

corrupt is the world we live in

where we care more about political correctness than the sick and the helpless

Extraordinary is the world we live in

Where we walk by each other and not acknowledge their existence

Unsettling is the world we live in

When the young disrespect their elders (you have GOT to be kiddin)

Disgusting is the world we live in

When we blame each other for the shit we get in

Racist, dejected, unforgiving, embarrassing, heartbreaking, and intimidated is the world we live in

When we could be good to each other, when we could be forgiving, when we could be accepting of our differences, when we could just be grateful to have the health and ability to go thru all the shit we do.
