why do people say i hope you wont get mad
it does nothing to prepare one for news that's bad

ignoring the agent motioning me to move it

as this man proceeds to say
he had a visit from his ex-fiancee
and she had no place to stay
i was thinking well thats okay
tell the heiffa get a room at the holiday
and then send her on her merry way!!
Surprise!!!!!!! that wasn't HIS solution
his hummin and hawwin had me thinkin

this crap is holding up the entire flight
talkin bout he'll pay me back every dime
i felt the heat of the mercury rise
the flight attendant saw it my eyez
that's when she stopped pressin and realized
my voice shook as i said FUCK YOU!
i swear rain drops fell from my eyes to my shoe
his hands were tied-- what could he do?
before he uttered another syllable
another word another vowel===
i hung up and threw in the towel
i think flight attendant shared her condolences
i was too hurt i dont know what she said
but whatever it was must have been goodbye
because she boarded what woulda been my flight
i picked up my bags, my dignity and my face
i departed that airport at a pace of the 100 meter race
faced with 2 epiphanies
he wasn't worth his WEIGHT in cat feces
and i loved him down to my knees
just like life to give you the hot WITH the cold
the new WITH the old
the bland WITH the bold
in my car i cried and spoke to myself
i hurt so bad i put my cool and sanity on a shelf===
